Portland Parks & Recreation is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion project at Mt. Scott Community Center, with an expected completion date in 2025. The project will enhance the center with additional recreation space, improved fitness areas, and a large event hall for community use.
During the construction period, all activities and programs have been relocated to alternative community centers, ensuring continued access to fitness classes, swimming lessons, and other recreational opportunities for Portland residents. The center's history and role in the community are being celebrated through a collection of memories and photos from past visitors.

The "new" Mt. Sc8ott is a beautiful building. Clean, pristine, modern. The workout rooms are a bit small and cramped though.
The rink may be coming out permanently. Due to hazards and lack of ability to properly operate a roller rink by Portland parks and rec. There's been more overwhelming support on pending lawsuit.

We were there in 2020 before it got closed down because of the pandemic and now not sure if there's any public swimming at all and the only swimming they have now is for private paid lessons.
