Willamette Education Service District serves as the administrative agent for more than 40 state and federal projects throughout Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. It provides education programs, cooperative purchasing, audio-visual services, testing, migrant education and administrative work in all local school districts. It offers various business services, such as investing district funds, monitoring of contracts and grants, records and information management, recruitment and personnel services, cooperative purchasing and general accounting assistance. It also provides library media services that include a collection of films, videocassettes, filmstrips, learning kits, professional books, adopted instructional materials and a variety of specialized curricular materials to more than 44,000 children. Willamette Education Service District offers various special programs, including consortium services, early intervention and vision impaired services and is located in McMinnville, Ore.
