Masami Foods was founded in 1992 by Masami Ishida as a meat packing facility in Klamath Falls, Ore. The company doubled its plant size to 28,000-square-feet in 1993, and added a more than 4,000-square-foot fabrication room to box and chill meat. It also added a more than 4,000-square-foot section used to process beef and pork products for sale in the United States. In 1996, the company provided an additional freezer space of more than 20,000-square-foot for byproducts processing. Chilled meat products of the company are shipped in refrigerated containers to Portland, Ore., and Oakland, Calif. Masami Foods is affiliated to the National Farmers Organization. Masami Foods plant staffs more than 150 employees.
