Friends of Trees' mission is to bring people in the Portland-Vancouver metro area together to plant and care for city trees and green spaces. Through our Neighborhood Trees program, homeowners buy discounted trees to plant with their neighbors at weekend plantings. Through our Green Space Initiative, trained crew leaders guide volunteers at weekend events to restore public natural areas and green spaces between freeways and neighborhoods. Since 1989, we have planted more than 390, 000 trees and native plants. To learn more , read our 2009 Annual Report or our 990. We are a member of the Coalition for a Livable Future,, and EarthShare Oregon. Friends of Trees meets all 20 BBB Charity Standards and is Recycle at Work Certified by the city of Portland.
