History
First opened by Ben & Millie Cornelius about 1965 as Flamingo Gift Shop mainly specializing in Outdoor Lawn Decor and Sea Shells. Purchased by Jim Tratz in 1976 and became Flamingo Jim's Gifts & Gems as Jim was very much into gemstone cutting & polishing. Later the name was revised to Flamingo Jim's Gifts & Clothing to reflect the large selection of beach clothing. 1300 sq. ft. were added to the building in 1981, and 2400 sq. ft. more in 1986. For about 10 years they produced their own line of concrete lawn decor. Many families have visited

Flamingo gyms is really nice store. It's very good for visitors to the beach and I got very good clothes and there's so much little stuff you could find there... Review by Graham, 9 Years old.

This place is wacky, sweet, and overwhelming. There's a bit of everything in this gift shop, and my kids LOOOVE picking out their 1 thing (under $10). We usually get a bit of candy to take back...
