Founded in 1989, The Steel Yard specializes in the distribution of steel products. Based in Portland, Ore., the firm offers a wide range of products, such as abrasives, roofing, pipes, angles, flat bars, beams, ornamental iron, channels, tubing, plates and steel sheets. It caters to a number of welding shops, fabricators, contractors, lumber/logging firms, fishing applications, the agricultural sector and wholesale steel users. The company also provides computer numerical controlled (CNC) burning and sawing services. The Steel Yard is an associate member of the Pacific Northwest Steel Fabricators Association (PNSFA) and Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI).
