Physician Assistant Tonya Sartor grew to love the health care field while serving as a medic in the military. Tonya views the patient as the most important member of a health care team. Tonya earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Oregon State University. Tonya has also earned an HIV Specialist Credential from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Born in Portland, Tonya enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, sports and playing with her yellow Labrador.

Jocelyn Gates, PA-C, is a physician assistant with Providence Medical Group-Sherwood. Providing good health care, she believes, has to involve the whole person. “I was drawn to health care because it has such an important impact not just on physical health, but also on spiritual, emotional and social well-being,” she says. “A big part of my job is helping patients find their own inner motivation for maintaining and improving their health.” Whether she’s assisting patients with preventive measures or helping them achieve breakthroughs in their understanding of health, she enjoys building lasting relationships. With a background in classical education and nonprofit management, Rebecca brings a unique perspective to her practice, focusing on educating and inspiring her patients. She values trust and open communication, and strives to make her patients feel comfortable and empowered when discussing their health. Rebecca is dedicated to providing thorough and evidence-based care, and believes in the importance of empowering her patients to make informed decisions about their health. Rebecca earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Marshall B. Ketchum University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Biola University. She is passionate about both literature and science, and enjoys incorporating humor and frankness into her patient interactions.
