Salem, OR 97305

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, the most diverse confederation of Tribes and Bands on a single reservation in the United States, maintain a rich heritage connecting to ancestral lands that span over 20 million acres across Western Oregon and parts of Washington and California. After facing significant challenges, including the loss of federal recognition and the reduction of their reservation, they successfully lobbied for restoration in 1977, reaffirming their cultural identity and rights.

Committed to serving the needs of their community, the Siletz Tribe offers a variety of services and programs in healthcare, housing, education, and social services for their members. They actively work to preserve their cultural traditions and natural resources, evidenced by initiatives such as eel harvesting and the growth of transitional housing programs for Tribal members.
