Founded in 1976, Youth Contact is a private, nonprofit agency that provides services to youths and their families. Located in Hillsboro, Ore., the agency is certified by the Oregon State Office of Alcohol and Drug Programs to provide outpatient alcohol and drug treatment services. The State Mental Health Division certifies the agency to provide outpatient services for children and youths with behavioral and emotional disorders. Founded in 1885, the Boys & Girls Aid Society of Oregon providing programs for children, youth and families. The organization is located in Portland, Ore., and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, Child Welfare League of America and the National Association of Social Workers. It provides a wide range of services that include prevention, mentoring, adoption and foster parenting services. Its prevention services is designed to assist children in crisis and aimed at children living in high-risk neighborhoods. The society utilizing pre-existing facilities, such as schools and recreation centers its community-based staff and trained committed volunteers provide a wide range of support and a variety of horizon expanding opportunities that are missing in these children s lives. The Boys & Girls Aid Society of Oregon offers planned adoption service that meets the needs of each individual child with a permanent and loving home.

Youth Progress Association
About Youth Progress Association Youth Progress Association ( YPA ) is a non-profit, independent living organization that has been providing Oregon's youth with the skills necessary to become successful community members since 1964. Our clients range in age from 15 to 24, have diverse backgrounds, and come from all over the State. The majority of our clients have either been involved in the juvenile justice system or have no appropriate home resource with whom to live. Youth Progress clients are often labeled as "difficult to treat" and have typically been rejected from other placements due to behaviors or background. Youth Progress specializes in working with these youth by providing them with individualized opportunities to succeed. Youth Progress Association provides opportunities to approximately 80 Oregon youth each year. YPA has a number of programs and in-house resources that address each client's needs and help build upon his or her strengths. The clients of YPA have access to independent living skills education, employability education, job searching and maintenance assistance, mental health counseling, drug and alcohol recovery services, GED and high school diploma education, college readiness training, vocational planning, strength-based activities, and case management services. All YPA's programs and services are structured to help our clients prepare for and achieve a successful transition into the community and into a healthy and productive lifestyle.
