Since opening in 1907, the Balch Hotel has served travelers, especially those using the railroad. The legacy of the original Balch family’s passion for hospitality and a love for good food that taps into the local agricultural bounty of the Columbia River Gorge region lives on to this day. A world-renown collaboration of local suppliers committed to source 25% of ingredients from within in the gorge.
