Bend Science Center

The Bend Science Station (BSS) inspires young scientists in Central Oregon through engaging lab-based experimentation and inquiry-based training for teachers. Founded in 2002, BSS impacts approximately 5,000 students annually from a diverse array of socio-economic backgrounds across 40 schools and empowers educators with resources and support.

With innovative programs including dynamic STEM classes during the academic year and unique summer camps, BSS fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students. Their state-of-the-art NetZero STEM learning facility on the Oregon State University-Cascades campus further enhances their mission to inspire and educate the next generation of innovators.
