History

2005 - 2008 Performed and taught bellydance at Devadasi Studio in Tokyo, Japan 2008 - 2010 Established Deseos Inc., a productions company hosting master teachers of Middle Eastern and Fusion styles of bellydance in Tokyo. Co-founded the first bellydance competition in Japan, The Tokyo International Bellydance Competition. 2009 - Returned to Portland and began teaching in Portland. 2009 - Present Perform and teach in Portland and as a visiting instructor around the US. Guest instructor on Datura Online.

Specialties

Specializing in Egyptian style belly dance and the folkloric dances of Egypt. Perform at weddings, bridal showers, henna nights, cultural events, and various public events throughout the year. I am known for my clean technique, encouraging and thorough teaching method, and emphasis on cultural understanding and musicality. I teach weekly classes at various locations in the Portland area. Private lessons via Skype or in person at a studio in Portland are also available.
