HistoryBusiness owner, Katy Gavic, realized (as a student herself in a CPR class) that she wanted to ensure that as many people in the community knew how to perform these important life saving skills. When she heard that Oregon (and unfortunately most of the other United States) do NOT require ALL public school teachers, staff, and volunteers to be First Aid and/or CPR-AED trained, she started Pulse Instruction LLC and started fundraising to pay for public teachers to receive FREE certifications through her classroom at Pulse Instruction LLC. Teachers can call/email Katy and get added to her free class list. She believes that learning these skills are VERY important, however, she makes it fun and memorable to encourage students to look forward to renewing their certifications in two years.
