Align Counsel

History

Owner and operator Amanda Ball spent a year prior to opening Align Counsel in a full-time internship with the META Counseling Clinic. META therapists specialize in the use of mindfulness, somatic awareness and experiential techniques. As a graduate student intern Amanda received extensive training and guidance in techniques such as Hakomi, Re-Creation of the Self and Experiential Attachment work. After completing this internship Amanda decided to open a private practice to continue the work she is passionate about.

Specialties

Align Counsel is about connecting with who you really are, and living in full integration of that truth. At many points people lose connection to who they really are. Societal pressure, traumatic experiences or relationship wounding can all force individuals to cope or learn to get by in ways that do not honor their deeper self. Using mindfulness, somatic awareness and experiential techniques, Align Counsel taps into the intuitive wisdom of the client to empower deep change. Align Counsel is proud to serve the LGBTQIA+ community, and brings in depth knowledge of queer culture, sex-positivity and non-monogamous/polyamorous relationship structures to the counseling room.
