HistoryThe Integrative Pain Reduction Program was started at Pain Specialists of Southern Oregon in Medford Oregon in 2015 by Joshua Graner. He started this program to offer a multidisciplinary approach to treating people suffering from complex chronic pain conditions. He found that a multidisciplinary approach was helpful for patients who had already undergone surgeries, interventional pain procedures and conventional pain management. Many of these patients were actively taking narcotic medication to manage their pain and were looking for alternatives to their medication or support while they were tapering their narcotic medication with the guidance of their personal physician. In Dec 2018 Joshua agreed to move the program to La Clinica Wellness Center in Medford to offer the program in a larger, primary practice setting as a means to help more people in the Rogue Valley.SpecialtiesThe Integrative Pain Reduction Program is for people who are suffering with a chronic pain condition like musculoskeletal pain, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia and other forms of chronic, persistent, non-cancer pain. We use a multidisciplinary approach that combines direct therapies like acupuncture and physical rehabilitation with pain management coaching. Our focus is on empowering people who are suffering with chronic pain to better manage their pain and improve their overall health. We coach our patients on making sustainable changes in 1) sleep habits, 2) stress management, 3) diet and nutrition, 4) pain self management tools.
