Opportunity Schools, a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization based in Long Beach, CA, has been dedicated to unlocking the hidden potential of students with learning and social challenges since 1990. Partnering with private, faith-based schools in Southern California, Opportunity Schools has provided specialized education and support for students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, dyslexia, visual and auditory processing challenges, ADHD, high-functioning autism, and those in need of small group, multi-sensory instruction. With a focus on academic competency and personal growth, Opportunity Schools has empowered students to overcome obstacles and achieve brighter futures.

As of Summer 2022, Opportunity Schools has made the decision to sunset the organization, recognizing the changing landscape of education and the availability of online resources for schools to develop their own programs for students with learning challenges. The leadership team is working closely with partner schools to ensure a seamless transition, providing them with materials, curriculum, and interventions that have proven effective. Founder and Executive Director, Louise Ukleja, expresses immense pride and gratitude for the impact Opportunity Schools has had on students' lives, while also looking forward to dedicating her time to growing her personal foundation, Ignite Cultural Solutions, focused on transforming the lives of disadvantaged youth and adult populations.
