University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma

Founded in 1908 as a women's institution, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is a public liberal arts college. The college offers degree programs in arts, science and fine arts. It also provides pre-professional courses in dentistry, law, medicine, optometry and pharmacy. The college offers teacher certification programs in business administration, English, mathematics, physical education, natural science and social studies. The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma also provides sports opportunities in baseball, basketball, soccer and softball. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and National Association of Schools of Music. The college is a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
