Samson Resources II LLC, a privately held oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was founded by Charles Schusterman in 1971. With a legacy spanning over 50 years, the company has focused on the discovery and safe development of oil and gas reserves both domestically and internationally.

In March 2021, Samson announced the successful closure of the sale of its Powder River Basin assets to Continental Resources Inc., marking a significant transition as the company divested nearly all of its upstream oil and gas assets. Currently, Samson is in the process of winding down its operations and moving toward final dissolution.
