Okmulgee County Family Resource
The Okmulgee County Family Resource Center is a community-based, nonprofit social service agency that provides support and assistance to families in Okmulgee, Creek, and Okfuskee Counties, as well as Creek Nation tribal members. They are dedicated to offering services for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, as well as abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system.
The agency was established in June 1987, in collaboration with concerned parents, civic-minded citizens, and the Juvenile Justice System, to form the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Project in Okmulgee County. Over the years, they have expanded their services to include domestic violence intervention and operate the Safehouse Program, which aims to provide a safe haven for those in need.
