Oklahoma Territorial Plaza

The Oklahoma Territorial Plaza, located in Perkins, Oklahoma, is a six-acre park dedicated to interpreting and exhibiting the rich history, culture, and art of the community, as well as the evolution of Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory into the state of Oklahoma. This collaborative project involves the City of Perkins, the Perkins Community Foundation, and the Oklahoma Territorial Plaza Trust, showcasing significant historical elements such as the restored home of Frank Pistol Pete Eaton and various agricultural exhibits.

At the heart of the Plaza are two twelve-foot statues by Oklahoma artist Wayne Cooper, representing notable figures from the region's history. The Plaza also features an arboretum and walking trail, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and diversity among all citizens, while honoring the heritage of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma and the local community.
