Michael Paul McLaughlin, DO

At an early age I fell in love with science and knew that nursing was the right path for me. During my nursing career I worked with pediatrics and adults and during my advanced practice clinical rotations I realized I wanted to work in family medicine because I want to help as many people as I can. As an advanced nurse practitioner, I want my patients to know that I will tailor their treatment to their needs and their well-being is always top of mind.

When it comes to obstetrics and gynecology, I'm passionate about seeing things from the patient's point of view. It's very important to understand where they're coming from in order to understand what they need. The thing I have the most fun doing is delivering babies. There's truly nothing else like the pure joy and rush of emotion that happens with a family in the delivery room.

I chose to go into medicine because I really love science and understanding what's going on, and I also really like connecting with people, so it's a natural combination. I enjoy seeing patients and doing procedures. And I really enjoy educating patients about what's causing their problem and what we can do about it.
