Young Brothers

Founded in 1969 by the Young family, Young Brothers Inc quickly became a local landmark of true quality & craftsmanship. Grandson and son to original proprietors, Dean Young serves as the company's current owner/president. Dean has been working in the family business since he was 11 years old. Dean has 4 wonderful children, all of which have worked for his company in some capacity. Dean's eldest son, Drew Carter serves as company Vice President. Mr. Carter followed in his father's footsteps, beginning his " training' with the company during summers at age 11. Drew is slated to be the 4th generation from the Young family to run the business. From humble beginnings, as one of the only tile installation companies in the city, Young Brothers has become a mecca for design inspiration. In the early 70's YB only employed 3 full-time tile setters, 3 helpers and 3 office administrators. Most of the work done in the company's early years was commercial installations. In 1972, YB acquired Southwest Tile & Marble expanded to the retail side of the industry. Now, SWT has over 30 full-time employees on staff, including sales, marketing and accounting departments. In 1973 natural stone fabrication began in the marble shop. The 90's brought in even more change. The marble shop was doubled in size, taking it from 7000sf to 14, 400sf. This expansion allows us to keep all of our slabs indoors for clients to view no matter the unpredictable Oklahoma weather. The original showroom was leveled to make way for the 3500sf design center that we all know and love today. The new showroom is home to 100's of designer tile lines, offering endless design possibilities. The addition of an overhead crane system, as well as, a CNC stone fabrication machine help to ensure that SWT will remain a long standing competitor in this ever-growing market.
