Lopez Foods is recognized as an industry leader in food and plant safety, quality production, environmental protection and customer service. The company is proudly Latino-owned and operated by the Lopez family who purchased a controlling interest in 1992. In 2001, Lopez Foods entered into a joint-partnership with Tyson/IBP and jointly purchased Carneco Foods, a meat manufacturing plant located in Columbus, Neb. Carneco Foods manufactures frozen beef patties, beef chubs, and modified atmosphere packaging fresh ground beef for fast food restaurants, retail outlets, and the foodservice industry. The company s Oklahoma City facility is capable of producing a variety of different sizes of frozen beef and pork patties, pre-cooked sausage patties, and sliced Canadian Style Bacon. We also supply a variety of promotional products such as chorizo crumbles and sliced ham. Its Columbus facility functions as a protein hub for beef, pork, and chicken. It is capable of producing a variety of different sizes of frozen patties, various sized chubs and low oxygen modified atmosphere packaged trays. The Lopez Foods cooked patty lines are capable of producing pork sausage patties to the customer's exact specifications. Both fully cooked and partially cooked patties are available.
