Lawton-City Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for a variety of programs and activities related to roads and drainage, solid waste and recycling and litter removal programs. Its responsibilities also include fuel management, maintenance of county administrative and recreational facilities and water recreational accesses. It operates through engineering, traffic engineer, animal welfare, equipment and electronic maintenance, water distribution and solid waste collection divisions. Its engineering division is responsible for the construction administration, survey, design and inspection of projects. The division reviews and coordinates the preparation of plans and specifications by consultants for various projects. The Public Works Department is located in Lawton, Okla.
