Jacob McKinney, PA

Growing up in Ghana, I spent a significant amount of time in the hospital and around medical staff due to my brother's seizure disorder. That exposure to the medical field at a young age is what sparked my interest in medicine. I am most passionate about complex spine problems like scoliosis or kyphosis as they are diseases that are debility to patients. It is very rewarding to be able to work to give my patient's their lives back. As a neurosurgeon, I want my patients to know that I will treat them as if they are family members and with the utmost care.

I decided to go into medicine because it allows me to serve others in need. I am a very detail-oriented person, and this has helped me in my path to neurosurgery. I enjoy walking with my patients through all aspects of their care. In my practice, I see a lot of spinal issues as well as neck and back issues. My passion is watching people that come in with horrible conditions get better and progress after surgery and through the continuum of care. My goal as a provider is to improve the quality of life for my patients.

I want patients to know I am compassionate and I really care about their issues. I love to be there for my patients during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives and I want to help them get to the bottom of their GI problem.
