Fletcher Fire Rescue Department, established in 1953 by the Fletcher Lions Club, is the first volunteer fire department in the county and was chartered in 1954 under Chief Vernon Williams. Over the years, the department has expanded significantly, now employing 34 career personnel and responding from three stations within a 33 square mile fire district.
Recognized for its commitment to community safety, Fletcher Fire and Rescue operates at a high standard, holding an ISO class 3 rating both within and outside city limits. The department continues to grow in response to the increasing demands of the community it serves.
