The Enid Fire Department was established in 1902 as a professional fire rescue service. The department employs more than 75 uniformed personnel and civilians. It provides hazardous materials response and specialized technical rescue services for residents. The Enid Fire Department maintains a suppression division that provides fire rescue, hazardous materials and medical services. The department also operates a prevention and inspection division that provides enforcement of city codes and ordinances. In addition, it operates a training division that develops annual training schedules, as well as maintains the training, accident, injury, and health records of personnel and prepares monthly examinations. The department maintains stations throughout Enid, Okla.
