I knew that I wanted to go into pain management because it provided me the unique ability to provide patients near instant relief of their pain through minimally invasive procedures avoiding the burden of chronic medication or extensive recovery periods...

It is fulfilling to get to meet patients of all ages within a family, see them visit after visit and grow those relationships with them. Family medicine is different every single day; you never know what a day it is going to bring. I love that challenge and I love growing and learning through the challenges to give my patients the best care possible. What motivates me is a desire to glorify God and serve others around me. In medicine we have such a privilege to serve our community, and I think it is so connected to faith as well. I'm motivated by being in a position to care for patients. It is an honor to be a part of people's day to day lives and I never want to take that for granted.

The most gratifying part of working in medicine is getting to see a patient before we intervened and getting to see the outcome, whether that's their ability to breathe out of their nose, hear well again, swallow without choking or sleep better at night.
