Awaji Izakaya really surprised me--in the best way. It's dimly lit, relaxed, and has this transportive feel that makes you want to stay awhile. The service was attentive but never overbearing....

Food was decent. Udon and tuna tartar were excellent. Rolls, appetizers and yakitori in general are so so maybe above average but in general, it was pricey.
