The Middleburg Heights Fire Department also offers assistance to victims of natural and man-made disasters. The fire department s provides firefighters with paramedic and first aid training. It is responsible for providing fire prevention and safety education to the public, as well as inspections and enforcement of fire codes. The fire department s equipment consists of engines, trucks, ambulances and rescue boats. Additionally, it firefighters are trained in undertaking confined space and trench rescue operations. The Middleburg Heights Fire Department is administered by the Department of Public Safety.
