Wood County Jail

The Wood County Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. The office intervenes in cases of theft, robbery, burglary, fraud, sexual assault, serious crime, domestic violence and narcotics trafficking. It conducts investigations, gathers evidence, and interviews suspects, victims and witnesses. It responds to emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The Wood County Sheriff's Office operates detectives, civil, communications, road patrol and community policing divisions. The office has a clerical and records division that processes and manages criminal records, clearance reports, and arrest and search warrants. Its special response team operates during emergency situations, hostage crisis and terrorist attacks. It also offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. In addition, the office organizes several safety-related training programs for the general public. The Wood County Sheriff's Office is headquartered in Bowling Green, Ohio.
