She has over 24 years nursing experience in psychiatry (inpatient, outpatient, crisis stabilization, and home care), as well as college health/primary care. Christ

I've worked in pediatric mental healthcare for almost 10 years; first as a nurse and now as a nurse practitioner. I specialize in pediatric trauma and parenting concerns. I strive to break the stigma associated with mental health and promote mental care health care for all. Janey Shipman is a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner trained to diagnose and treat mental health disorders by prescribing medications and providing psychotherapy. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University while also earning an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Hocking College.
