Murray Ridge Center, located in Elyria, Ohio, is a nursing facility that provides health care services to individuals with developmental disabilities. It includes several community homes that offer its residents training in activities of daily living. In addition to these residential services, Murray Ridge Center provides supported living, family support, respite care, personal care attendant services and crisis intervention. It provides a wide variety of vocational programs. Murray Ridge Center provides professional counseling and various support programs for mentally challenged individuals. Its programs provide support needed to address issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, cultural conflicts, grief and loss, parenting, aging, loneliness and transitions.

The mission of Lorain County Port Authority is to promote economic development by assisting private industries initiatives; by encouraging development and redevelopment; and by promoting investment in business, industrial and transportation projects.

Columbia High School offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options to students. The school serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its curriculum includes classes in math, English, science, social studies, art and music. Columbia High School also provides classes in foreign languages that include Spanish and French. It also offers instructive sessions in physical education, media, education, health, industrial technology and consumer science. The school maintains a parent-teacher association. Columbia High School additionally has a library that provides a range of educational materials and resources. The school offers several sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, tennis, wrestling, football, cross-country, and track and field.
