The University of Cincinnati, also known as UC, is a public research institution that provides a range of educational services for more than 37,000 students. Founded in 1891, it operates the College of Applied Science, College of Engineering, College of Nursing, and College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning. The university maintains a staff of over 16,000 individuals. The University of Cincinnati offers master's, bachelor's and associate programs. The university organizes baseball, basketball, football, cross-country and soccer tournaments. In addition, the University of Cincinnati has a recreational center and libraries.
