Every year more than 3 million people visit Cedar Point Marina, one of the top rated amusement parks in the world. On a nearly 370-acre peninsula connected to Lake Erie, there are roller coasters, live singers and dancers in three theatres, resort hotels, a recreational vehicle campground, a water park, go-karts and miniature golf courses. The beach at Lake Erie is what drew the first guests back in 1870. In 1888 the owners of Cedar Point built a structure that would be the center of resort activities for years, the Grand Pavilion. It officially became an amusement park in 1897. The park has nearly 70 different rides that cover all ages of guests. Some of the rides include the Top Thrill Dragster, Power Tower and Thunder Canyon. Cedar Point Marina is located in Sandusky, Ohio.
