The caring professionals at The Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties provide comprehensive mental health services and therapy that include outpatient counseling, case management, psychiatric services including child and adolescent psychiatry, on-site pharmacy, 24/7 crisis intervention, walk-in crisis support and mobile response services for children to adults struggling with their mental health. With locations in Wooster, Millersburg, Orville and Rittman, since 1953, the goal of our private, not-for-profit mental health service is to make a difference in the lives of those who seek our care, and to promote positive behavioral health in the communities we serve. We offer services to more than 5,000 patients and families annually. Our highly trained team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, child psychologists, therapists, family therapists, social workers and counselors (including child counselors and teen counselors) has expanded to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, child behavior issues, relationship problems, grief and loss, job difficulties, addiction, sexual and physical abuse, suicide and stress-related disorders. We are proud to be the only provider in the area to be dispatched for mental health emergency services. For youth 21 and under experiencing significant behavioral or emotional distress, our Mobile Response and Stabilization Services MRSS is a specialized crisis service. We offer families in crisis de-escalation and ongoing stabilization services. We encourage care and recovery at the 5 residential homes and a 15-unit apartment complex we operate to support individuals who are suffering from severe and persistent mental illness and need safe housing. A sliding fee scale is available, and the Center accepts Medicaid and Medicare as well as most private insurances.

A link between local and state resources, the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Wayne and Holmes Counties provides funding to improve awareness and access to mental health and addiction treatment and prevention services in our local counties. We are your go-to source to connect you with the help you need. The agencies we work with provide mental health services, addiction recovery programs, suicide prevention and other assistance all with the same goal: to improve your well-being. Under our support, our community partners offer everything from a women’s recovery center for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to AA meetings to a depression hotline and a 24-hour crisis line, so you can get immediate help and learn coping techniques, whether going through detox, moving on from a harmful relationship or any other challenges. Our vision is to promote wellness for all community members while ensuring access to a continuum of high quality, recovery-oriented mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and support services. The Your Human Resource Center is a private, nonprofit organization that provides treatment, intervention and prevention services to the people living in Wayne and Holmes counties in Ohio. It offers mental health care and chemical dependency recovery services and tobacco cessation programs for youths and adults. The Your Human Resource Center also provides health status assessment and individual, group, marital and family counseling services. It offers several outreach programs that focus on individuals who are incarcerated due to criminal behavior and mental illnesses and need assistance with employment searches. Additionally, the facility offers psychological testing and case and anger management services, as well as alcohol and drug treatment programs. It works with schools, community groups and organizations to prevent problems with substance abuse and addiction. The Your Human Resource Center maintains one of its facilities in Wooster, Ohio.
