The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque is one of the country's best repertory movie theaters, proclaimed by The New York Times. Founded in 1986, the alternative film theater shows art, independent, and foreign films as well as revived classics. The Cinematheque offers discounted tickets to all CIA students and contributes to the richness of the college's public programming in the arts.

Adelbert Hall

Adelbert Hall, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is an iconic administration building at Case Western Reserve University. Built in 1881, this historic structure was named after Adelbert Stone, the son of industrialist Amasa Stone, and showcases a blend of Italianate, Stick-Eastlake, and Romanesque architectural styles. Following a devastating fire in June 1991, Adelbert Hall underwent a $12.4 million restoration, which was completed in 1993 under the leadership of President Agnar Pytte.
