Surgical Appliance Industries manufactures knee braces, back and surgical supports and garments. The company offers four primary product divisions, including Truform therapeutic compression hosiery; Truform orthotics and prosthetics for the spine and extremities; Airway products, such as breast forms, bras and accessories for women who have had surgery for beast cancer; and PCP-Champion, mobility and home convalescent aids. The company, founded in 1893, was originally the Ohio Truss Company and manufactured leather saddles and bridles to settlers. Surgical Appliance evolved by subsequently manufacturing hernia trusses, abdominal supports and mobility aids.
