Stonehenge

Nestled on several acres of woods and beautifully landscaped grounds, Stonehenge Estate is an on-going family preservation project that has been a "must see" for island visitors over the last 25 years. Representing the small grape growing farms and family wineries that prospered on the island in the mid-late 1800's, Stonehenge self-guided audio tours include the stone farmhouse (circa 1870's), wine press cottage (circa 1850's), wine cellar and outdoor display area. Both buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places and give visitors a sense of island living from both yesterday and today. Also on site is the award winning Stonehenge Gift Shop, featuring many quality items handmade right here in the USA.
