Steward's Monument & Marker
Stewards of the Sequoia is a grassroots trail advocacy organization based in Columbus, OH, dedicated to protecting and preserving the Sequoia trails for multiple recreational uses. Since 2004, they have successfully prevented the closure of over 160 miles of motorized trails, built new legal motorized trails in collaboration with Forest Service and BLM, and maintained over 4000 miles of trails by clearing downed trees, preventing ruts, and brushing miles of trail.
With the support of members and donations, Stewards of the Sequoia continues to advocate for trail access, ensuring that various recreational activities such as off-road vehicles, mountain biking, horse riding, hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, windsurfing, boating, and rock climbing can be enjoyed in the Sequoia area. By joining Stewards, individuals can contribute to the ongoing efforts of keeping the trails open and be part of the solution in preserving this natural recreational resource.
