Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes.
For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business.

Hadn't been here for a long time. Burgers were really good. Great fries. Clean restaurant. And the prices are extremely reasonable. Cheaper than Wendy's or McDonald's. Recommend

For $25 we got 2 orders of COLD fries, a "bowl" of Chilli for $5.19 and mediocre hamburgers...and no ketsup. Last trip. Fries too cold to eat!

Store #569 8800 Owenfield Dr (off 23) Ohio The cook was actually mopping the floor. She took her sweet time to start cooking after 4 people placed their orders. Only 2 employees were working....
