I'm a musculoskeletal surgical oncologist specializing in the treatment of benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors in pediatric and adult patients. Although this area of focus remains, it influenced me to take a broader approach to cancer care and view my practice from a perspective of constantly looking for ways to improve patient outcomes and experience. This has led me down many paths - from research focused on surgical techniques to improve postamputation pain, to the influence of health care policy and treatment strategies on bone cancer outcome 've had phenomenal mentors along the way who inspired me to pursue a career in orthopedic oncology. Throughout medical school, residency and fellowship, these mentors demonstrated compassionate, patient-centered care and an endless drive to make advances in the field of sarcoma that I try to emulate today.
