Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil
Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil (SOFA) is a nonprofit organization established in 1977, driven by the vision of its founders Emmert Studebaker, Larry Wood, and Bob Zeller to preserve and promote the art of blacksmithing. As an affiliate of the Artist-Blacksmiths Association of North America (ABANA), SOFA offers various educational activities and skill-building workshops for blacksmithing enthusiasts.
SOFA hosts the QuadState annual event, recognized as the largest forging activity in the Quadstate Area, and fosters a community through its membership program. By engaging in these initiatives, the organization aims to inspire and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the craft of blacksmithing.
