Scioto Elementary School

Located in Commercial Point, Ohio, Scioto Elementary School is a division of the Teays Valley Local School District. It provides academic programs to more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through five. The school organizes a variety of activities, such as awards assemblies, grandparents' week, field day and colonial day. It has a parent-teacher organization that provides financial support through fundraising events, such as market day, fall festival, pie sales and collecting boxtops. The school has a library media center that provides access to magazines, trade publications, scholarly research journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, maps, satellite images and poems. Scioto Elementary School s academic curriculum includes art, physical education, basic skills, reading and writing, math, social studies, and health and physical education.
