Cathy Sila MD, FAAN, FAHA, is an internationally recognized vascular neurologist and the Chair of the Department of Neurology at University Hospitals. She is an expert in the prevention and treatment of stroke and neurologic complications of heart disease. Our 18-bed special care nursery is staffed by neonatologists, nurse practitioners and nurses who provide an intermediate level of care to newborns with developmental problems.

Larisa Rippel, LGC is a genetic counseling specialist located in Beachwood, OH. With expertise in hematology genetics and prenatal genetic disorders, Larisa serves as the Lead Genetic Counselor at the Center for Human Genetics, University Hospitals. She is also a Clinical Instructor at the CWRU School of Medicine.
