Sal Hench Field
Sal Hench Field is the home of the Yellow Jacket softball team at Defiance College in Defiance, OH. Built in 1999-2000, the field is named in honor of Sal Hench, a dedicated supporter of the college and its athletics. It features on-field bullpens, a two-story press box with a concession stand, an All-Conference Wall of Fame, and a full sound system.
The outfield dimensions are 210 feet all around, and there is a 28-foot by 12-foot inning-by-inning scoreboard in right field. In 2016, the field underwent renovations, including a new infield surface that was laser leveled and an improved Dura Edge classic infield mix with red Pro Slide top dressing.
