The Patton House, built in 1902, is a storied residence that once belonged to W.W. Patton, a notable figure in the Kent community who served as both postmaster and school superintendent. Upon the death of his daughter Emma in 1939, the house was entrusted to the Coterie, a women's organization dedicated to preserving its history and providing a gathering space for community groups.
Today, the Patton House remains actively maintained by the five Kent Coteries and is a stunning landmark at the west entrance to downtown Kent. The house is also available for private event rentals, embodying a rich legacy of local history and fellowship.
