Pals Adult Day Program

PALs Adult Day Program, an initiative of Pathway Church, caters to post-high school adults with developmental disabilities eligible for Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) services. While Medicaid Waiver enrollment is not mandatory, private pay options are available. Operating Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the program emphasizes comfort, routine, and security through five 45-minute sessions daily with 15-minute breaks.

Key areas of growth encompass person-centered planning, focusing on faith with Biblical instruction, prayer, worship music, arts & crafts, and church ministries involvement. Life skills reinforcement covers self-advocacy, socialization, communication, personal hygiene, and basic literacy and numeracy. Vocational exploration opportunities include retail, food service, housekeeping, hospitality, and clerical work.

Physical fitness activities are tailored to encourage teamwork and engagement, promoting adapted games for all participants. The program also offers recreational and leisure activities for socialization, rest, and relaxation. Certified for non-medical transportation, PALs ensures safe and accessible pickups and drop-offs from participants' residences.
