I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psycho-oncology, psychosocial distress, behavioral sleep medicine, chronic pain management, weight management, relaxation training and coping with chronic illness. In my role, I strive to provide thoughtful, compassionate care to patients by helping them to identify areas of change and guide them in learning the most appropriate coping strategies to use for overcoming emotional distres s a member of the Psychosocial Oncology Program at the OSUCCC - James, I provide evidence-based counseling services to patients with a history of cancer and-or to their caregiver(s) to help improve emotional and social well-being, as well as overall quality of life. Patients complete a formal evaluation for a personalized care plan to address their individual needs, ranging from emotional distress to improving their ability to cope with side effects of cancer and its treatment y research interests include psycho-oncology and quality of life during treatment for cancer and cancer survivorship. Specifically, my research focuses on evaluating longitudinal patterns in health-related quality of life, cancer-related distress, health disparities and cultural factors, and the development and evaluation of psychosocial interventions in cancer patient population n addition to my clinical and research work, I am an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. I also serve as co-chair on the Evidence-Based Behavioral Medicine Special Interest Group for the Society of Behavioral Medicine. I really enjoy working at Ohio State because I'm able to provide top-notch care for my patients and help train the clinicians of tomorrow in the Psychology Internship Program and the Psychiatry Resident Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Clinic.

As a psychiatrist, I specialize in the treatment of adults with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as other diagnoses. I'm passionate about getting to know my patients as individuals and working with them to improve their mental health and wellbein uring the first encounter, I take a thorough history to understand my patients' symptoms, history and life circumstances. I use a collaborative approach with my patients to develop a comprehensive treatment plan, which may include medication, psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions. With all of my patients, I strive to provide evidence-based care while individualizing treatment for the specific patien 'm grateful to work at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with incredible colleagues and a wide array of resources available for my patients. I also enjoy the opportunity to teach and supervise students and resident n my free time, I enjoy working out, hanging out with my dog and spending time with family and friends.

As a psychologist, I focus on youth with mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. In today's society, mental disorders are still highly stigmatized, yet their impact can be very real and painful for those who have them. Mental illness can be as severe and limiting as any physical disorder, if not more so. I've found this to be especially true for our youth who are already adjusting and adapting to different life change y research focuses on innovative assessment and treatment strategies to effectively restore a child's mental health in the context of his or her family. I strongly believe that comprehensive assessments lead to treatment plans that can be tailored to each child's unique need ere at The Ohio State University our clinical research is changing how care is provided at the national level. I'm impressed with how adeptly our trainees move forward while bringing our mission of excellence to other n my free time I enjoy facilitating the music group at my church and relaxing with my family.
