Ohio State University Airport (OSU)

The Ohio State University Airport is one of the leading general aviation facilities in the United States. Located in Columbus, Ohio, it provides educational services to the university s students and aircraft services to central Ohio s pilots and businesses. The airport, established in 1943, is operated by the Ohio State University through the department of aerospace engineering and aviation. The department controls all operations of the airport ranging from airport management and fixed base operations to airport maintenance. The airport has more than 220 aircrafts, including single and multipiston, and turbine engine aircrafts and rotorcrafts. It controls more than 115,000 operations every year, including corporate activity, student training and pleasure flying. The airport has an aircraft noise and operations management system to provide better communication between the airport and its surrounding communities.
